MISSION

To be a catalyst for the attainment of quality education and quality work culture in USM.

QUALITY OBJECTIVES

USM strives to achieve quality of the highest level through continuous improvement with emphasis, emphasizing leadership, innovation, creativity and ‘zero defect’ processes.

Our Quality Objectives:

i. Plan, implement and monitor the system, processes and procedures in the management of the academic programmes;
ii. Plan, monitor and review the academic programmes to be in line with the standards of Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and other professional bodies;
iii. Quality assure all academic programmes in USM;
iv. Review academic programmes before they are submitted to the Malaysian Qualifications Register (MQR);
v. Be a reference point for University academic quality assurance;
vi. Encourage feedback through E-Feedback from students to facilitate improvement towards academic excellence;
vii. Advise USM on any matter relating quality academic assurance.
viii. Advocate and strive to inculcate the culture of academic quality among USM community; and
ix. Collaborate with other Higher Education Institutions to strive towards quality and excellence.
